Survive the Nightmare in Another Day Off

Damon Gibbs, a cop on the verge of leaving it all behind, finds himself trapped in the nightmare of a city overrun by the infected. In this survival horror adventure, you'll explore haunting environments, face relentless foes, and uncover the dark truth behind the outbreak.

Another Day Off features a unique visual style, blending pixel art and voxel art with a mix of 2D and 3D perspectives. The game combines tense exploration, dynamic combat, and an eerie atmosphere, creating an immersive horror experience unlike any other.

This is a prototype, a first glimpse into my vision. I’m Emanuele, a solo developer from Italy, and Another Day Off is my dream project. From animations and 3D assets to music and design, I’ve built everything in this demo myself. While I continue developing the game alone, my goal is to gain visibility and attract the attention of a publisher to bring this project to its full potential.

Sadly doesn't work with DS5 controller, but it looks gorgeous.

Thanks for your feedback! Sorry that the DS5 controller isn't working. I'll look into improving compatibility in the future. Glad you like how the game looks!

Love it - the atmosphere is amazing. The sound is amazing. It really puts goose bumps on you. I like the slow down of the camera , the zoom in and out on actions. Really greate for a one man job.
I actually liked the tutorial / text being part of the environment. Also animations are smooth on it. Can highly recommend!

deceptively incredible zombie platformer. Though this only contains one level, the attention to detail had me hooked. If you enjoy zombie horror and sidescroll platformers, don't miss out on this amazing game!

I did run into a couple of mechanical issues which I highlight in parts of my video. If you watch it, please my explosive reactions do not represent my feelings towards the game, rather see at the end of the gameplay where i give feedback on the game.

I play your game (as well as a couple others) and leave in depth feedback in the video below. You can also vote for game in my channels challenge for best indie horror of February at the following link: http://youtube.com/post/Ugkxx1d6FiRxNw11JSVhEnFm4DLWrFnmCGFX?si=5QSwotoRW2ZktsZV

I'll be 3D printing a scene or monster from the winning game to give to the game dev. Our winner for january just got selected today, and I'll have the video showing off the print out on the channel within the next week (hopefully!!).

I just released an updated version of the demo, so if you feel like giving it another try, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the improvements.

Hey AnotherDayOff,

your game was our second place for february by a technicality, as I closed voting at 11:59pm yesterday. So many people voted for your game though and it was truly one of my favorites, so it feels wrong not to support it further- so I'm going to try and make a print for your game as well this month. Please reach out to me at Zagonite@outlook.com so I can try to coordinate shipping with you. If you wanna see the print from january check out the video below!
